Does it matter if you have pillow ***** or not for the knocking to occur? Do all TEIN's knock. Everybody out there with TEIN HA let me know what you experience. Also I thought TEIN's w/o pillow ***** came pre assembled w/ the upper strut plate, allowing you to bolt them right in?

Well mine do, both with or without the pillowballs. The noise is more of a chattering on top of the knock with the pillowballs. Yes if you use the TEIN pillowball mounts you take them out and in as one assembly. However you can do the same thing with the an extra set of factory mounts.

it was best described as "running over loose wood boards" ?
Is that the sound you referring to ? I've had that since the day I put my tein's in and its ANNOYING. My friend with Tein RA on his ITR has NO SOUND at all. Complete silence. I love it. I dont know why the preludes make so much noise.

 

...my rear Teins make the most noise, only REALLY noticable when the rear seats are out! But, the cars I have been in w/ pillowballs is unberable! As far as the strut plate, you reuse the stock piece!
