Shock knock for the billionth time
OK so I finally got around to replaing my TEIN pillowball mounts with the factory ones as well as using the updated collars. Guess what? Yeah that's right it still knocks. I tried to put a small amount of dynamat at the beginnig of the main springs as well to see if that helped and no it didn't. After reading the archives and about 100 other posts someone suggested replacing the collar with Duct tape (yeah that's right Duct tape). Now I would never use Duct tape but what about using a collar that had some hard rubber/plastic at the ends? Does anyone think the collar itself could be the culprit to the noise? i.e. the collar hits the bottom washer or the top washer when it (the car) moves up and down? Also I'm assuming since the right rear corner is the lightest corner that's why it makes the most noise? If anyone has any suggestions on how to make my car NOT sound like a Geo Meto it would be great.I'm willing to try just about anything at this point (well with the exception of actually using the Duct tape). Thanks

I have to agree, although it may be from some other area of the suspension. I think it could be coming from soemthing else then the shock towers. I realized after I did everything you could (almsot) to the TEINs as well as having factory suspension in for a while and swapping the TEIN pillowball mounts for the factory ones with almost no noticeable difference except the driver side seems to only get the knock under hard bumps instead of every bump with the TEIN pillowballs.
I also developed the greatest squeak from the clutch and my headliner tick is back. I jinxed myself last night by saying it only happens when it's cold...and now today it drove me nuts. God I hope the next round Honda/Acura don't have these little problems.

were our cars made from the same Honda worker or what?
we got the same noises.
I got the squeak from the clutch pedal too.. but it seems to quiet down a bit recently.. There is a trigger above the pedal.. I type a soft foam tape.. so every time the pedal is pressed in the trigger won't slam into the metal that hard.. it works for me so far.
For the headliner tick.. Just try your car back to dealer.. There is a TSB for that. My dealer pullled down the headliner and foam tape the sunroof track and whatever that might cause the ticking noise.. it works so far too.
If you remember, I put back my stock suspension.. but the squeaking noise is still at the rear passenger side. Dealer have no idea how to fix it and I kind of give up also... so for now i just turn up the music.
