do what i did, use a drill and make little holes and break em with a screw driver or plier. just don't mess up the plastic part that holds the bulb in place.
I just tried to see how much damage i could do with some needle nose and it worked really good. bent the plastic holding the bulb but it is still as secure as before. No heat or anything.
My write up:
1)Get a hammer and a flat head screw driver.
2)Hit the amber piece just softly enough to break it loose.
3)Grab the amber piece with some needle nose's and twist out of the bulb hole.
4) screw the tail light back in place.
NOTE: The hard part is the curved piece at the top of the amber piece. It is much thicker and stronger than the sides and will take more time. If you have all the tools, soldering iron, heat gun, what ever use that. I didnt and Mine look just the same.``
