RSX-S Factory Performance
Does anyone know when does the Factory Performance trim comes out for the RSX Type S because I went to 3 different Acura dealers and they said they never heard of such thing. I read on Car and Driver and on a couple other web sites that it was supposed to come out early 2003 like around May. I also went to a Honda dealer and a Honda Factory Performance trim was avaiable when I test drove the Accord EX V6 but they said they didn't have total supplies for it if I were to buy it now.

You also get front/rear skirts and re-valved dampers.
But agreed, you can do better for less with quality aftermarket pieces. Its not like installing a coil-over kit, wing, wheels and brake pads is going to void your warranty.

this is funny because i was going to make a new post asking, "was anyone stupid enough to buy a FP rsx-s?" you seriously have to be missing some screws to choose a rsx-s over a 350z or evo8. I love my rsx-s i got for 21k. Once it steps up closer to 28-30k, i denounce any loyalty to the honda brand. hahaha.
I only asked this because I don't know how to install anything right by myself and even if I did, I'll just somehow mess it up. When I do get my car, I'm bringing it over to this guy in jersey and hes gonna do all the performance upgrades for me.
I considered a s2000, I got into one when i test drove a 2004 accord and the s2000 felt so tight when i got in. I looked and saw a s2000 on cars.com that i liked for 24000 with 30k on it. I can't do any mods or exterior upgrades myself cause I'll just mess up somehow. I considered a non honda/acura but I really can't get one cause the guy that I'm gonna go to for all my upgrades is a certified Honda tech and he'll only work on honda/acura cars. Unless you know a good place that does engine mods that I could go to.

uh. just because you drove faster than one makes it overated overated?
I took out a 330ci in a semi-race..does that make it overated overated?
I've passed lambos, vettes, etc on the highway, does that make it the same?
Just because you drive faster then a certain car at a certain point doesn't mean anything. The RSX-S is a wonderful car for 22k. For 30k, i think you can do better. And that's all I'm saying. I'm sure most people would agree. Just like for EP3 owners, most of them got theirs for 16-17 out the door and its a wonderful value for that. I doubt people went for it for 20-21k.

So what car do you guys think I should get then. Keep in mind that I perfer to have a car that not too many people have in a couple years and I really can't get a non Honda/Acura cause this guy in jersey can't do mods on them. I have around 20k to spend and i might finance the rest. I'm working and going to college part time.
RSX-S non FP Black or Blue (nice but too many people are gonna own this like integras
)
- JDM Converison with OEM body kit, type R wing
- AEM V2 intake, greedy turbo and comptech catback exhaust etc.
Used gray
S2000 (small and tight)
- Vielside Body kit, OEM or mugen hardtop
- Supercharger
Mitsubishi Evo 8 Black (Ugly car, must do evo 7 conversion) (expensive)
- JDM Evo 7 conversion (ifs thats possiable cause i haven't seen a kit for it yet.)
Subaru Impreza WRX STI blue or black (expensive)
- gonna have to wait maybe a year to save up but i think its worth it
- just gonna leave it stock cause I'll be broke after I buy it. (maybe some n20)

If you're looking to get an Acura...get the Integra GS-R or RSX-S. The RSX is coming out with a Milano Red color....or you can get the Civic SI. Those are really the only one's that you can have fun with without gettin' outta your price range.
If you are working and going to school, financing is not your friend.
Buy what you can with what cash you have. When you get out of school and start to get on with the rest of your life, then worry about piling up debt.
