just got into a bit of an accident...need some help...
basically, my friend was driving my 4th gen, he was gonna make a U turn, and a car came up on our left side.... so basically my front fender/bumper/tire made contact with the rear tire/bumper of the other driver.
Initial inspection (without a flashlight, I'm in nyc, so my flashlight was at home) showed front drivers side fender, and front drivers side bumper damage, and a missing corner light and bumper light.
While I drove back home, I noticed the steering wheel had to be held counterclockwise a little bit to keep the car going straight. I didn't notice any weird vibrations....So, cosmetics should be easy to take care of, but regarding the steering wheel, what should I look out for? (tie rod, tie rod ends, steering rack, knuckle, contol arms, axle, rim, any other suggestions?) Any ANY advice I would really appreciate, so please don't hesitate to post up~!

well.. the direct problem with the steering is just the alignment (No brainer)... But afterwards.. if you notice anything else wrong.. specify...
ahh, ok, yea I wasn't sure if I should check to see if anything was broken/bent, or if it was as simple as just the alignment getting out of wack, help much appreciated~!
My son had a '92 and had the exact same accident you're speaking about. Put it back on the road a short while later and without warning, the knuckle broke and landed the car on it's axle. Totaled the car.
Be sure to check really carefully all the suspension parts, looking for any small cracks or abnormalities. It will be cheaper now to fix it than if this happens to you too.
