First of all these guys are the greatest to deal with. I've had some pretty shitty experiences with shops and parts dealers over the last year (my JG engine Dynamics experience), but this was the exact opposite. I asked a ton of questions before i even sent the head out and they had no problem answering all my question and most of the time it was the same day!!!! Yeah i said the same thing, i didn't have to wait a week to get a response. They also had it done pretty quick, they had it just less than 2 weeks, plus a week shipping there and a week back to me. I tell ya what , i know the LS valvetrain is only slighty bigger than the ZC stuff, but when it's in there it looks so much bigger. All in all i'm really excited to get this bad boy put together. I would definately recommend these guys to anyone that needs engine work done. Grear customer service, great prices, and excellent workmanship.here are a few pics

What kind of Intake Manifold is that?

 

It's just stock. But i did sand blast it, paint it bright silver and put a few coats of clearcoat on it. I did the same with the valvecover, the shiny sections were sanded down in stages, polished, then clearcoated.

haha I guess its just the camara angle on that shot cause I though it was different for the other pic of it.It looked like a straight runner type when shot from above.

Niiice, is it a matter of just bolting in the Ls valve train or does it have to be machined at all???

I have a zc that I really want to boost here soon!! so we'll seee thanks for the info and great pics....I'd love to see more shots of the motor and car..

No, the LS vavles and spring don't just slip right in. DH had to machine the valve seats to make them larger to accomidate the larger LS springs. The valve stem guides need to be machined also.
My head studs are comin Mon, then it's all comin together. Hope to have it on the road in 2 weeks, i'm gonna take my time with it. I'm less likely to screw something up that way.

 

Sweet about how m uch did it cost to get the LS stuff in there...I'm hoping to do something like this....

 

For boost, I'd definitely be all over the LS intake valve swap. Exhaust isn't as worthwhile, IMO.

 

Well the motor should be in the car in the next few days, then i have to break it in. So in the next month or so i'll let you all know. Can't wait to see the results.

Gotta love the nonvtec heads! Too bad im jumping on the bandwagon
