stage3's?
Race car? or street car?

What's the displacement? compression? going to be.
Looks like a nice way to start a motor to me!

Street, picked the stage 3's because... well they were cheap as hell... and they have a fairly stock idle... with a 12.8 lobe for vtec+high rpm use... so what the hell...

street or track doesnt matter, but maters on what kinda engine you are putting them in.

unless you have high CR and and least 1.9l+ u might be making more power with stage 1's or 2's

over cam'd huh.... well did I forget to mention the ITR block with CTR .25 over-sized pistons/ 2-layer head gasket, which makes about 12:6:1 compression..... I Always forget to add in the really important stuff..

CTR's, 2 layer gasket and stage3's.....i'd say clearance issues

i agree

i know someone that blew 2 motors with the stage 3's due to the valves hitting the pistons

That botom end will not do with those cams...errr or viceversa..

First of all, .25over ctr's in a gsr motor with a 2 layer headgasket is like 12.45 not 12.6, regardless, it's still a 1.8 and with those pistons, cams that big, and a thin headgasket, like already stated you most likely will have clearance issues. I hope the head's never been milled..lol

Better clay that motor to make sure you can run those clearances.

you guys and your ctr piston fears, you swear like theyare gonna smack thehead right when you start the motor, my friend had a type r in his hatch and the head had a 40 thousandths mill, with ctr's and it ripped, oh and his cams were jun 3's, but yeah everyone be careful cause ctrs and big cams mean trouble.... i swear alot of people on here are straight outta children of the corn, when it comes to inteligence.

oh but those cams are going to be overkill, trade them for a set of stage 2's or some jun 3's those will make more power in your setup.

new lesson for today, b4 buying any parts for engine , research research research, i say u since you got a good deal on those cams you sell them make some profit and buy a cam more approiate for your setup, stage 3 is pretty aggresive cam for the street

I never buy anything without researching it..... people are running TODA D's and Jun 3's...ect... on the street with 13:1 compression...TUNING!!!!!!! and your nocking me.... the fact that the only huge difference between the 2's and 3's are the vtec lobe and some other minor things...... it would only be natural to use skunk 2 springs, with their cams????? i don't get why i wouldnt use them..... as for overcaming a b16.... Never heard of it... or seen it... on that note... if i decide to go with the b18 block.. or stick with the b16, and see what i can make, my goal is 200+whp...

anyways.... I don't like it when i have to defend my actions... i get pissy but it's still going to be fun when i put these babies in....
