Changing drivers side mount on ZC
Ok motor is in the car already. I found out that the drivers side mount has NO bolts holding it into the block. Needless to say the shop who did my swap will have an old 4th gen mount thrown through their window once I fix this thing. So my problem is Im trying to take off the timing belt cover to access the bolts. I dont have the upper cover on because it doesnt clear my hood. It also looks like I have to remove the piece of the cover that sits on the motor. to do this might require removal of the cam gears. Can someone please help me out with this? Anyone in the MD area- I will buy you food and beer
if you come over and help. thanks.

Dont forget you have to take off the crank pulley too to remove the timing belt cover. Here is what you will be looking at, well not exactly if the motor is in the car.
thanks for the pic. I got all the bolts off of the timing belt cover but it goes between the pulley and the motor. Do I need a special tool to hold the crank pulley to take it off or will an impact do the job? Also, see how in that picture the mount bolts are under the other half of the timing belt cover? well I think that piece might have to come off and that is behind the crank pulleys. help
Some times a good impact can take it off..some times not..
some times you can get it of with a breaker bar, putting wheel block on all four wheels, putting it in 3 gear, and standing on the brakes. (whistling dixie helps too)..
and just in case..yes you have to take the crank pulley off to take the bottom timing belt cover off.. or you can destroy the timing belt cover and be done..
but not a good route.

so what if I do take the cover out? like for good. I dont plan on keeping the motor in there for much more than 2 or 3 months. Will anything get seriously fucked up? I dont have the top cover on it anyways because it wont clear my hood. Damn, Im gonna need a hell of an extension to use a breaker bar.
