Default How much HP with the DOHC ZC?

A friend has it in his CRX,and is wondering to go N/A or to boost.Since i don't know i'm asking you,how much HP can the ZC engine make the N/A way?
We were thinking on doing i/h/e,fpr,skunk IM,TB,some cams(don't have a clue wich one to get),gears, around 12:1comp. pistons, rods, valves, springs, retainers. Is head work nececary?
How much HP would that setup neted? And what HP is doable on this motor?
thanks!

If youre going to do this, go with a B16. Its possible to do what youre talking about with the ZC but they dont make an Intake manifold for it. Cam choices are limited. cam gears are offered from Cusco. I hear B16 cam gears will work but I dont know specifics. If you want an all motor car go with the B16.

Swaping is involved wich much $$$.And if he would swap, then the 1.8L.
How do you mean they don't make IM for it?Skunk2 D-series IM should fit.Why wouldn't it?
Were could we get som nice cams-lot of power?

The DOHC ZC has a different bolt pattern on the intake side than any other D-series motor. You're pretty much stuck with the DOHC ZC I/M. I wouldn't ever try to build up an N/A DOHC ZC here in the US, simply due to the lack of aftermarket support. Sure, if you dig around you can find some cams, pistons, etc etc, but you can only go so far... And with the money you spend - it's not worth it.

I would definitely turbo the ZC. No question about it. The ZC has bigger valves than any other D-series motor, and with the additional cam you have the ability to adjust/create overlap. The DOHC ZC is probably the best D-series motor to turbo.
