Had a nother great day at Shannonville yesterday. RRRex put his very quick CRX through it's paces, while I tried my best to keep up...
For those looking for some safe lap time I strongly advise the RAVEN driving school. These guys put on exceptional events with loads of lap time.
Here are a couple trafic free laps:

never understood why people put their gauges in sideways like that. Id understand if they were on the opposite side of the car, but dont understand when they are right in front of you ?

This is done so that you can quickly look and see if you are ok. What you do is set your gauge so that when at normal operating range, the neddle is straight up and down. Then while racing, you can quickly look down and if the needles are not straight up and down, you know something is wrong.

That Vette was VERY serious. The owner says it's putting out over 900HP
The tires it was equiped with were wider then my leg is long... Very FAST!
The Datson was quick, but after holding me up for a lap and a half he finaly caved under the pressure. Here is the proof: http://www.we-todd-did-racing....DE%3D

By far the highlight of the day was catching up to and passing that Datsun. Your ITR is set up beautifully. If anyone wants to know how to set up an ITR check out Baby-NSXs ride. Just perfect all the way from the JDM final drive to the suspension, to the HID light conversion.
The event went smoothly. Great bunch of guys. Had a great time. Wish the car wasn't overheating. I'm baffled. Have a double core full sized rad and ran without a thermostat yesterday and still couldn't do more than 4 hotlaps before the water temp climbed to 230 and the oil hit 250. Something's wrong. Maybe the waterpumps not pushing well - might be the rad is a dud - I don't know. I'll figure it out.
What an adventure though, power goes out, we're like 2 1/2 hours from home without enough fuel to get us there. Hanging out at the Sunoco, sucking back ice cream (full price I might add - think we'd get it for like fire sale prices) talking to the yokles's, thinking about crashing a Pow-Wow - if only we had made a blanket or baked a bunt cake - then finally finding that farmer in the middle of nowhere with a generator selling gas. What are the odds of that? You should've seen the guy's face when I asked what's the octaine of the fuel. Thank god for octaine booster. Got home fine.
Great meeting you Baby NSX - loved your set up.
