00 and 01 ITR have the quicker steering rack 15.7.1 vs the 16.1.1. The old translates to a 2.98 steering wheel lock to lock. Can somebody with a 00, or 01 itr run out to your car and turn the steering wheel lock to lock. It should be something less than 2.98 turns.....

Need immediate help, trying to install what a recycler said is a 00 rack, but I turned the shaft pinion and it appears to be the same lock to lock. Dammit car is apart and I need to get it back together soon....

ratio for the steering rack is 16.1:1 and 2.9 for lock to lock.

16.1:1 and 2.98 is true of the earlier, 2000 and 2001 have 15.7:1 as in above link.

Anybody know how many locks on 2000 and 2001 ITR?
