I'm not sure that would do it.

ha ha, you need some more to beat our s2000's. but i got beat by an rsx by half a car length and this type s had
- comptech headers
- comptech exhaust (the exhaust also has a test pipe, so there are no restrictions)
- cold air intake
- Toda Engine Kit
- Toda Cams
- Toda Valvesprings
- Toda Valvespring Retainers
- Toda Reprogrammed ecu with a 9100 redline (advanced timing & fuel)
He had all that, and he pulled a half a car from 75 - 100mph, and i had my top down. when i raced him i had a cold air intake, catback exhaust, 18 racing hart c5000's, and neuspeed lowering springs on my S.
i thought if he spent $4000 that he would do more than that. he still beat me, so i gave him hella props for that.
so if you want to beat an S2000, there's one way to go and you will definitely beat one if you do the same thing he did.

You could hope there are no turns in the road :D
But seriously, the S never was set up to be a drag car. On the track you're going to need alot of suspension work to keep up.

I'm actually getting disappointed with my s2k... my HX is 2150 lbs with full (generic) bars, kyb agx's and eibach road race springs with generic 185 all season radials and it tears my stock s2k apart in handling (s2k is running 205 s02's up front and 245 ecsta supra 712's in the rear). The stock springs on the s2k seem okay, but the shocks feel quite loose to me.
Its not the shocks that probably feel loose, its the rear tires. The S02 offers significantly more grip than Supra 712's. There is a major reason why you don't mix tire sets on a car! Assuming no other modifications, your S2000 went from a slight understeer bias to a major oversteer bias. I recommend you fix that. If you are at all concerned about handling, why in the world did you buy Supra 712's?
The stock S2000 is more than capable for use with R-Compounds so my next question would be: With the same brand of tires on both cars, which do you think is going to be faster around a track, the S or the HX?

Actually, the car has a slight bit of understeer with the 712's, the s-02's let my back end slide a little more, possibly due the to 712's being 20mm wider (supposedly). Also I got the 712's because of price and availability. I was trying to get ahold of some AVS Sports, but no matter where I went I would have to wait over a week and I just couldn't go on my bald s-02's anymore. The S-02's had a wait as well, and the price just wasn't what I was looking for.
The issue is there with with the 712's as well as the S-02's I had on before, some Falken's my brother had, and also Victoracer V700's. Any of those tires should give me better road holding than the Dominator and Firestone all-season mix on my Civic. However, my civic will hold on through a turn at a substantially greater speed than the s2000 will (For instance, on freeway to freeway ramps, theres one in particular that I can take without an issue at around 80 in the civic, but the s2k starts slipping at 72). The body lifts noticably on one side around turns, and climbs during slaloms. I'm just saying if you can get an RSX-S to beat an s2k in the 1/4, it shouldn't take to much more modification to take one down on the track (given the drivers are equal).

umm i raced a friend that had cold air intake, hondata, exhaust and motor mounts and we were dead even the whole way we raced from a rolling start though

Way off... Comptech Race header, Hondata Flash, and a good Intake should put you guys just about dead even.

Depends... with the average S2K driver, yes. But they do trap 99-100mph stock. Also depends on the state of tune on the RSX, but yeah I would have to agree with you, the RSX should pull it.
my friends rsx with just azenis, AEM CAI and a ported throttle body and intake manifold from JE made him beqat my other friend by a car. both good tires
