Default bone-stock d15 tuning help

anyone have any ideas on what i could do wit my stock engine on the 91 hatchback...i wanted just to swap a b16 but the smog regulations in cali are freakin ridicules...so any ideas on what i could do? as of right now my car is bone-stock

pull of the cover thats on the intake manifold (4 screws and it says dpfi on it) and take out the gold plate that's in there (1 or 2 screws). Then from there i would look for a MPFI swap. Search MPFI and you'll find alot of info on it.

what he said... I took off the little gold restrictor plate...not much of a noticable gain though... I would definately keep my eyes open for the pieces for the MPFI swap.. It is the only real way you will see any power.

whould u have to do anything before i open the cover on the dpfi? and what will takin out the gold plate do...i am a newbie to honda tuning...is it legal in cali?
