Questions and advice about cam choices.
I got a 95 GSR with intake, header, exhaust, afpr, aem cam gears, and a VAFC. I want to be as close to 200 whp as possible, while still driving it daily to work and school. My plans are to get cams and valvetrain in search of more horsepower. If I got a Toda Spec C intake cam, what can I use for my exhaust cam? Am I obligated to match it with another spec c, and toda valvetrain? Or can I match it up with an ITR/CTR exhaust cam, and still make good power? My other option is to get a skunk2 stage 1 intake cam, and ITR/CTR exhaust cam with ITR valvetrain. Which setup do you think is more reallistic in adding horsepower, but still keeping a reliable form of a daily driver with stock compression? Your input is greatly appreciated.
Yes I understand that getting the Spec C is almost a waste of money since I won't be getting the full performance of the cams. Would Toda Spec B's be better for street, daily driver on 91 octane gas, or should I even drop to stage 1 or spec A equivalents?
well to use the TODA Spec C Cam you should have lots more things doen to you engin i would say use Spec B and chang your head gasket, to like spoon or mugen they run about $100-120. u will rase you compration to like 11 some thing got to http://www.c-speedracing.com to check your compration
