Hey guys, doing my first SOHC/ZC swap. My buddy has an '89 CRX HF and part of the deal was it came with this SOHC ZC. ZC is stamped on the front of the block and it's SOHC and I can't seem to find data on this thing. Can someone point me to a resource? Tried searching the archives but couldn't filter out useful info from the 1,000 returns on my search!

 

It has a tad more agressive cam and higher compression than the a6.

 

try the zc resource for info. other than that, i haven't found much info on the sohc zc. it's compatable with most d16a6 parts though...if that helps you.

 

got me a ZC. ran me a 15.4@89mph in the 1/4 mile so its all good with just bolt ons.

 

120ps or 118 hp to us.

The exact difference between it and the A6 is still under debate.

Its not under debate....besides the slight internal differences, the sohc zc and the a6 are twin brothers.

Nice, that's what I'm talking about! lol

Nobody really knows the exact differences between the A6 and the SOHC ZC. I really want somebody to tear one apart and look at the pistons, valves, combustion chamber and cam. Until we see pics/specifications, nobody will know.
