Default 88-91 Civic CRX short shifter question

Hi to all.
I’m looking for a short shifter for my B16A powered 87 CRX. I’m using a stock 87 CRX shift linkage. I modified it for the B16A (Have to add aprox 2”).
Does a short shifter designed for 88-91 Civic CRX will fit on my car?
I will appreciate all your help.

Thanks

I don't think they will fit in a 1st gen. Get a stock one and modify it if you can't find one.

I am pretty sure a Del Sol shifter will fit in an ed.

As far as I know any shifter from any 88-91 Civic should work. If you have a stock shifter that you can use it is a fairly simple operation to add 1/2 - 3/4 inch to the bottom of the shifter. If yoiu have access to Mig Welder its a piece of cake. Just be sure that the alignement of the old and new are the same. Also be sure to remove the plastic sbushings before welding or you will be buying new ones. I also mofified mine so it sat about 1-2 inches further back so that it was more confortable to grab (being closer). Let me know if you need further help.

the 88-91 wont fit in the 87. the ball part of the short shifter does not fit in the linkage.

all shifters are the same for 1988-2000 civic and 1990-2001 integra. the only difference is the washers and spacers that you need to add. some need it, some dont
