Default callin out people with a Spool in their car, street or track driven.

First off, i searched and didnt find any answers, just all hearsay.
----This topic pertains to people with a locked diff or people running a drag spool in their car, not someone they think they know, people with this setup in THEIR car.
im considering getting a spool for my h22 EG, its cheaper than an LSD, does the same function for me, this car is only a drag racer and will be driven on the street on weekends. I know its a lot of stress on the axles,, BFD im buying the 550+ horse power DSS's.
- My question, how badly does it turn on the street/track (end of track )? Will it be a big pain in the ***** driving it on the street?
Ive ran on 12PSI on slicks, no PS,6puck metalic unsprung ACT clutch, small momo wheel, and JUN lightened Flywheel with my GSR Ek and its was no problem for me. Just letting you know that all that **** didnt bother me in realation to how the spool may drive on the street.
Hopefully i can get some honest answers from people with a drag spool or locked diff and not opinions from random people. Keep in mind i have a daily driver, this car wont be. thanks

I have a spool in my turbo car. At the end of the track isn't bad, driving every day isn't bad, and since you're going with upgraded axles, you won't have a problem there either. But, parallel parking bites, drive throughs I avoid, and tight U turns are a bitch. That's all.

I have a spool in mine, most of the time it's really no big deal. The trick is to
keep the speed up. If making a hard turn hit the gas a little harder then normal
to spin the inside tire a little. On street tires it's a peice of cake.

The end of the track is no big deal, agein keep the speed up. Also be sure you
have a good bit of clearance between the slick and the strut, the sidewalls will
flex alot more then with a open dif.

THE biggist PITA is the pits, 6 pounds of air in the slicks and 2 mph is a real pain.

What really hurts is when you are trying to take a slow turn and you give it gas and it jerks the wheel out of your hand and one of the spokes wacks your knuckel. Ouch that f-in hurts!

Yes Keep the speed up. The first time i drove on the Twin Disk and spool i almost nailed my nuckels on the spoke of the wheel.

the spools really sucks for turning....its really hard and theres hardly any turning radius....but if this is only a track car i'd say get it...but i would stay away from the streets cuz it is a real pain
