What are the differnces between the f22a1, a4. and a6?
What are the differnces between the different motors that make them more powerful? Are there parts from either a f22 or other motor that can be swapped onto the f22a1 to make it more powerful?
The intake manifold and exhaust header are the two main differences between the A1 and A6. The cams are likely different as well, but it's not as important as those two.
A few people here have swapped on the A6 intake and exhaust to the A1. There's a way to setup the dual intake runners so it opens properly. I forget who offhand. I was going to do this myself until I ran into expensive emissions repairs

I read that you can swap a h23 intake manilfold onto the f22a6. Would I be able to do the same with the f22a1? So with that and an aftermarket header I should make up the difference plus maybe a little extra right?
heres what i THINK i kno
f22a1 - 90-91 accord all trim lines
f22a4 - 92-93 accord dx/lx
f22a6 - 92-93 accord ex/se
i kno for a fact, the a6 is the ex/se for the 92-93 cuz thats what i have, a 92 ex. i'm 90% certain i have the a1 and a4 correct as well.
