Default Daytona - worth the haul?

Got invited to run in this next year.... is it worth the drive to run Daytona? I'm thinking because it's in conjunction with PCNA we should go and run huge *** 944 cup stickers.

RENNSPORT REUNION
Huge Porsche gathering at Daytona in 2004

Porsche Cars North America, in conjunction with Brian Redman and his ntercontinental Events, Inc., today announced Porsche Rennsport Reunion II is to be held April 23-25, 2004, at Daytona International Speedway in Florida. Porsche Rennsport Reunion II will be open to the public and will bring together an unprecedented gathering of significant Porsche vintage racecars owned by private collectors, Porsche Club racers, former Porsche factory drivers and a selection of historic cars from the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, Germany. It will feature a three-day program of on-track competition plus a concours d'elegance, which will be open to the event's participants by invitation. In addition, special activities are planned commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Porsche 356 and Porsche 550 Spyder, and the 40th Anniversary of the Porsche 911.

Additional details of the Porsche Rennsport Reunion will be published on Porsche's web site porsche.com Ticket information is available by contacting Daytona International Speedway at (386) 253-RACE.

Daytona is like Lowe's, but bigger and faster. Does that help?

You mean worth the tow to run the 944 Cup decals
or worth the tow to run with the Rennsport Reunion
or worth the tow from Maryland to Daytona to run Daytona?

I'd think it would take all three and that's a pretty long tow isn't it?

from driving on lowes and spectating at daytona I dont think lowes comes anywhere close to how much fun the daytona infield track looks like. Its one track I'd love to drive on some day.

I don't think that's the majority opinion. From the guys I know that race at both, they prefer Lowes.

We haul from Seattle Washington to run the 3 hour Grand Am Cup pre race for the 24 hr Rolex race on the Friday before.

Daytona Speedway/Road Course is very cool!! Maryland should be a breeze of a tow!! Do it!!

Number 1 is more of a joke so it's really 2 and 3. I mean, how often do you get to say you raced at Daytona, right?

Agree Daytona and Lowe's are both great places to drive. I love them both.

If your question is if it is worth the drive from Maryland, I think absolutely. At least go once so you can say you have driven there You won't think the drive home is a long drive as you will still be pumped up.
