Default Best ECU

What is the best ECU for a B16a...yes i know the obvious answer would be a B16a ECU, but i heard an ITR Ecu would Rip on it, so what would you guys say? (keep in mind it needs to be obd2, cause i had it converted)

Right now im running an OBD2 GSR and the whole vtec at 4,400 then full at 6,000 is buggin me, so yea.

We put my P73 (ITR ECU) in my friends 96 GSR and it totally made the car more aggressive so he ended up buying the ECU off me... if you can find a P73, it really did help for my friends gizzer.

Also I have my stock B16A2 ECU still if you're interested in it...email me at erics99si@SirromMotorsports.com

it's a 92-95 sohc vtec ecu (chipped), reason for using the sohc ecu is cause there's no knock sensor

So whats the advantage of not having a knock sensor?

And also i have 97 SOHC VTEC ECU, would that be good?

I can get a 99-2000Si USDM for a good Deal u think that will work out fine 2?

NO, the USDM ecu will be looking for these things non-existant on a JDM motor: EGR, VTEC oil press. sensor.

They only ecu that will make you more power is an OBD1 chipped ecu.

You need a conversion harness, and a chipped OBD1 ecu, the P28 is fine.

im not that worried about power, i just want the car to run smoother. Because with my GSR ECU v-tec opens at 4400 and then fully at 6000 cause of the butterfly in the GSR intake mani, but i dont have that on my b16, so i just want another ecu that will perform more normal.

So i think im going to try and get my hands on a JDM B16a2 ecu or a JDM ITR Ecu

They sell much higher octane gas in japan, it's not going to fix your smoothness problem, you'll actually probably experience sputtering.
