Default Problem need help finding out what's wrong

Ok so last night I went to the drag strip....I ran 13.8 w/ boltons but that's not important....

Last run, got some hop, halfway down the track this HORRIBLE vibration starts, and the shifter is vibrating like CRAZY, so I think ok, flat tire. Coast to the end, turn down return road, turns fine. Pull over, all tires good. Pop hood, pull throttle back, vibration not comming from engine, good. Get back in car, and start driving, vibration starts around 60km/h. Come to stop, hear "clicking" noise from 20km/h - 0 km/h, the noise decreases in fequency with the speed.

Now at first I think ok knocked a balancer off, but this clicking noise makes me think maybe axle?

Get on the highway to go home, try driving 50mph, vibration unbearable. Go 60mph, gets better 70mph the vibration is hardly noticable, 75mph almost nothing. 80 like regular driving. 85 vibration comes back, 90 unbearable again.

Get home, goto parking lot. Crank wheel all the way to the right and make circles, @ idle, no noise. 10mph no noise, 20mph nothing but tires squeeling.

Crank wheel all the way to the left and make circles @ idle, no noise, 10mph "click, click, click, click" can feel it through the pedal, @ 20mph nothing but tires squeeling.

The vibration and clicking is DEF. comming from the right front wheel.

So what could it be? Axle? Combination of off balace wheel and CV joint? Thanks in advance.

Check your cv joints.

Did the vibration start just after a hard shift?

I highly doubt a wheel weight falling off would cause a clicking noise when you turn the wheel.

Jack that bad boy up and check those cv joints.

Good luck!

could also be wheel bearings - these will be constantly changing with road speed however... You can check wheel bearings by jacking up the car and checking for play in the hub - if you can make it wobble by hand, then it's bad. If you hear a click-click noise only while turning, then it's the CV joint.

I would NOT be driving that fast (> 80 mph) with this type of problem. If you can't figure it out, bring it to the dealer or a qualified mechanic - don't mess around with this chit. Good Luck
