How much HP is Type R bottom end good for?
I am planning on boosting my Type R. I am replacing the pistons with lower compression slugs and I am also going to go with some Crower connecting rods.
What I want to know is how much boost can I safely run without worrying about the sleeves cracking. I am also running a Hondata S200, and will be getting everything tuned.
Thanks in advance

Theres someone on here making over 500whp on stock sleeves, not on a type r though, but b series have the same sleeves as far as i knowof.
are you talking about the stock sleeves or aftermarket ones????
id say you could prolly reach around 500 to the wheels on a good tune. with the stock sleeves. who knows how long it would last though.

I'll be testing the limits of the stock sleeves and rods here in a few days. I made 282 on a 100% stock internal ITR motor w/ turbo. Now I'm running 9.0:1 Arias Pistons, stock rods, bigger turbo, and fully tuned with the Hondata S200 as well.
