Default Where to place lightweight battery in a Del Sol?

hi,

i´m about to get a lightweight battery for my Del Sol.

Where´s the best location to place it? trunk maybe?

i want to relocate some weight...

Dont forget if it is in the trunk, you have to vent it and provide an exterior kill switch to race.

You would not have to vent a sla battery (sealed liquid acid) like the Hawker Energy or Genisis batteries.
But a proper kill switch may be nessesary to pass tech inspections at the race track if Germany has similar guidlines as US racing sanctions.

I, personally, would just leave it at the firewall location. In a Del Sol there is no real reason to move it, but if you had an EF, you almost HAVE to move it. Just keep it in the stock location. Besides its lighter so youre not going to get any better weight distribution by moving it to the back.

Why not move it to the back?

sorry for the stupid question, don´t know the weight distribution of the Sol

I don't think it would hurt to move it to the back. Just wouldn't really help much unless you're trying to free up space under the hood. Also if it's a drycell you won't have to vent it, but you will need a hefty kill switch.

Hawker Energy batteries are generally ower in price.....The Odyssey is just a rebadged Hawker.
