Default Finally got my 4.78 FD tranny in..............Thanks Brian

Ok I have been waiting for sometime to be able to afford the 4.78 tranny. Got it today and finally got it stuck in. (Been driving around on a B16A tranny) Anyway went and got a Sprung 6 puck clutch for it and a little stiffer then stock pedal pressure plate. Using Stock GSR flywheel and I can feel a BIG difference in cornering and the way the steering wheel feels. But I dont notice that big of a difference in the way in pulls. I will soon be getting Cams, Skunk2 Intake manifold, and 4-1 header. I have Skunk2 cam gears that havent been put on yet. But soon will be put on and tuned. I will soon also be getting Hondata and a S2000 T-body. Just giving a review on initial driving impressions.

Yes it handles much better the LSD is just plain bad ***. Dont really know how to explain it. It just makes the steering wheel stiffening up and act different when you are going around corners spiritedly driving.

Good to hear. Maybe the 4.78 tranny doesn't make the car feel too much quicker becasue you previously had the B16A tranny which already has pretty good gearing. Perhaps ig you has the GSR tranny you would have felt more of a difference. Just a thought.

Ya I noticed a pretty good difference in the gearing when swapping to the B16A from the GSR but from the 4.78 to the B16A not near as big of a difference.
