Default Rev problem need help (b16)

ok my car is runnin like some shyt. It revs from like 1500rpm to like 800rpms constantly when at idle then some times it goes to 2grand then back down to regular idle, and Im not liken it at all.

Acura Dealer ship is gonna take it in tommorow *my dad works there so thats why there workin on my swap* but the service manager said more than likely its the idlecontrolvalve, he said something along the lines of that...

What doyou guys think?

A faulty IACV will usually give you a bouncy idle like you described.

expect to pay about 200 bucks for the sensor..

btw, my acura dealer works on hopped up cars, too.. my service manager owns a 92-95 4 door civic with an ITR motor swap, and the tech who works on my car has a 92-95 hatch with H22a in it.. pretty cool, huh?

could also be a bad TPS sensor or the vacuum lines weren't run correctly....

Below your throttle body, you will see a sensor bolted on the side of the intake manifold. Called your fast idle valve. On the back of the sensor (firewall side) there is a plate with 2 8 mm bolts holding it on. Take one all the way out, and loosen theother, so the plate will flap around. Inside there is a spring loaded device, that has a sleeve that screws in it. This sleeve will vibrate out, from your high revs and stiff motor mounts. Push it in and as you holding it pushed in, screw the sleeve in. Screw it in as far as you can then back in half a turn. Replace the cap and start it up. You might have to loosen the idle screw out, cause your idle will be really low.
If you want to test to see if it is the fast idle before you pull off the cap, take off your intake piping, and start it up. You will see 2 holes in the TB. One goes to eacv, and ones goes to the fast idle valve. Cover the lower one. If this helps it is the fast idle valve.
Try this and if it doesn't help, post again.
