Default Silly question about engine swaping

I know the dc2 has a different engine from the dc5 but....could it be swapped?
Not that i plan doing it but i would really love to have a 6 speed gearbox

Yeah, that's a silly question.

Have a custom gearbox made if you want it that badly. Probably cheaper than a whole new engine and tranny, not to mention the crap you would have to do.

Why do you want the 6speed?

The motor will probably fit, but thats where the fun stops. Custom shift linkage, motor mounts, exhaust manifold, coolant hoses, all the wiring... I get a headache just thinking about it.

its been done.. but its not that cheap at this time.. i say give it some time and swaps like that will become more common.

$4000 for a custom 'box is nowhere near what you'd have to spend for a K20 to work.

HASPORT has been making those mounts now for over a year, i dont even know if they are released yet or not. We waited and waited for them to release it but they never did so we got custom mounts for Pacmans car. (K20a in a ek)

it can be done, is it cheap no, is it worth it, IMO yes if you can get ahold of a JDM ITR motor w/ the 225 hp motor/tranny.
