Default Sightly OT: GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR... SALESMEN!!!

Ok, as you guys probably know, I've been looking for an R in the chicago area for some time now. I was browsing aroud cars.com and noticed that they still have the R as a selection for getting price quotes and such. So, I filled out all the crap hoping maybe somehow someone will have a lead on an R. I check my email this morning and this is what I get:

Dealers will do ANYTHING for commission.
His RSXs are probably not selling too well (fast enough)...
You should go just for the hell if it...THEN give him a piece of your (my) mind!

You can't expect the absolute truth from these guys. To start, I find that most import enthusiasts know more about cars the salespeople. They probably can't even tell you the difference between a MacPherson strut and a wishbone suspension. Do you really expect them to tell you that the 8 year old DC2 Type R chassis is a better overall performer than the brand new RSX? That just wouldn't be good for sales.

He said it to a T. That's what car salesman do they can see u a fully loaded RSX for probally more then a Type R plus they will get Dealer hold back off of it and even make more off it if they sell it fast.

i personally just cant wait to i see the rsx-s on the track, then my car will do my talking, and the rsx owners will know, although nothing against you if you bought the car because it has a plush interior,or softer ride, thats your taste not mine

I actually like those dumb sales people feeding the public the wrong info. For one, my car is defaced and regular people can't tell the car from an LS... I only unleash the potential when I feel like it and not when I'm provoked by the sticker freeks. I will bow down once RSX-R comes out, but until then we all know the story...

p.s. funny story... I went to the Acura parts dept. today. A guy w/ LS wanted to turbo charge it... and, he said he's getting a Vortech _TURBO_.

Tell the saleman you will consider buying the RSX-S when RealTime replaces all their ITRs with it. Or G-stock in AutoX has taken over by RSX-S.
