Im want to get a sohc zc for my 91 std hatchy. my question is if i got a greddy or apexi turbo kit w/ intercooler how much boost can i run on that stock sohc zc block without any problems? i know with proper fuel i can but how much boost is a reliable level? also does the a6 have the same compression as the sohc zc (9.1)? 1 more thing any recommendations on head work or valvetrain upgrades that should be done before turbo? thanks in advance

 

if you want a SOHC and turbo, go with the A6, lower compression than the ZC and cheaper to find, HTH

 

i cant find a decent a6 for a good price all of them are usually high priced and ragged on, i was lookin on hmotorsonline.com and found the sohc zc for 450 and the specs were 120hp and 100tq. what is the compression of the a6? its just the availability and power that leans me towards the sohc zc. i will be boosting the motor (a pretty straight forward set-up greddy turbo kit) and is curious as to what is a safe level for the motor would be and i wouldnt like to see detonation of any kind.
