Headlamp GURU's: JDM HID Question...
I have a JDM ITR conversion with HID's on my car. The problem is that in Japan, people drive on the 'wrong' side of the road.
So the beam pattern of the headlamps are 'clipped' opposite of ours (lighting up the left side of the road more than the right side) to avoid blinding the oncoming drivers.
I have a pretty good idea of how this is done with standard Halogens, but have never disected either of my headlamps to see how it is actually accomplished with projectors. Which leads me to the actual questions:
Has anybody here with JDM headlamps ever succesfully rectified the clipping pattern for US highways? Are there pieces inside of the projectors that can be swapped to do this? Are the Halogen and HID projector components (less bulbs/ballasts) interchangable? And of course, did I forget anything? TIA
