The car is a 1998 CX hatch, and we're going to be putting in a J-spec B18C5 engine.

We've read all the how-to's on wiring a DC engine into an EK, including Katman's very nice writeup: http://www.ff-squad.com/tech/w...2.jpg and everywhere says that using an EX harness is the simplest route.

So we got a 97 EX harness from a junkyard but found out the car had an auto tranny. We know the IAC valve harness will have to be changed over to the 2-wire harness used on the B-series, but do we have to change anything else? Obviously we will have extra unused plugs going to the ECU and to the transmission and everything, but do we have to change anything else besides the IAC to get the engine to run correctly?

I used my 98 EX auto harness with my 95 B18B swap.

works like a charm, cept alot of left over plugs.

Just have wiring diagrams for both engines and you'll be ok.

ttt come on guys.... the motor is finally here, looks like the reverse lights might not work if we use the automatic harness. Anybody know of any other differences?
