whats the diameter of a cai for a h22? if its any more than 2.5" will using a 2.5" hurt performance?

 

I believe the CAI for the H22 is 2.75".

 

some are 3"

 

would it be bad to use a 2.5"?

im having somewhat of a dilemma here. i have a 91 accord and im having a h22 put in tomorrow, but i dont know what intake i can use. right now i have a 3" shortram, but i want a coldair. i cant find an accord cai with a 2.75/3" diameter, and if i get a prelude intake im not sure if the bends are right to properly fit around the battery and into the bumper well.

 

relocate the battery, cut the CAI and use a rubber connector with the belt ties to make it fit right :D
