Default f22b2 swap

Ok here is the story I blew my motor and now I need a motor quick. So I have in my garage a f22b2 which is out of a 94 accord lx. So I want to drop it in to my 92 accord ex. I need to know what is needed to make this swap possible. The reason why is because I got like a bunch different answers of mechanics I know.

1) Just swap the flywheel off the old motor onto the new motor and that’s it.

2) You need the entire wiring harness and some other wires off the 94 lx. (I don’t believe that one but I just put it in just in case it is true)

3) That I just need to buy one motor mount for the front, because that is the only one that doesn't match.

4) That the motor drops right in and no of the stuff above is needed. (This is the one I really want to hear!!)

Well I don’t know can you guys give me your insight on this and maybe try to help me and if anyone has done this swap like in their own garage can u give me some ideas or you can even email me at lplosdj1@aol.com
Also if anyone got pics of this swap that would be great too. Well that’s all thanx

Do you have the 94 LX tranny? I'm assuming not, but if you do...only thing I can think of that you'll need is probably just the front motor mount.

how about this....

take you 92lx intake and exhust manifold and sensors with attached wiring harness off, distributor ect and swap it over to the 94LX motor. Simple and it works!

damn some people make it so difficult.
F series parts are interchangable (main parts)

but what is the point they have the same hp so you will just be wasting time and money if you swap the motors

if the newer one was a vtec i might could see but i see no reason to swap one 130hp motor for another 130hp motor

STFU yo!

hes smart hes not trying to make his 92 accord a street killer like some accord owners who think their accord is fast..hahha.

Doing this would be really smart because you would get a motor that is new and stronger then the old highmilage F22. So what if they are ranked at the same HP.... you'll be able to tell the differce between a old motor and a new one.

More power to you in trying to keep your 4thgen alive. if you need any help what so ever IM me and I try to help out.

I understand what you ment by why would you want to waste time on a swap that has the same puts out the same HP. yeah if he was trying to do a performace upgrade he should ask himself that question but I doubt it and performace is the last thing in his mind in that 92 accord> All he wants is that sucker to get to point to B and back w/out any issuses.

oh yeah back to your orginal questions.

-yes swap out flywheels like you stated and your tranny should be done.
-you don't need to mess around with the wiring. It should be plug and play! (if you do it the simple way like I stated)
-yes you'll need the driver side mount for the 94 accord. your 92 accord drive side mount look the same but is slightly different.

easy as pie!
