hi, i was wondering if anyone knows the color, or even better the color code of that rare blue color that came on 92-95 civic hatchbacks(not sure exact year in between 92-95), its almost like the 99-00 civic si blue, it is the one that sport compact has as their project eg. i want to apint my car that color really bad, but i dont know what it is, also what is your opponion on it. thnaks

paint only came on 92-94 civic's Captiva Blue Pearl Clearcoat (clearcoat part depends on what type of paint you use)

i dont like the purplish tint to it.. kinda gay to me.. but if you like who cares what i think
i always thought the aztec green was the rare paint scheme???

I would say its the green darker than the one above.. That one is rare.

I've only seen couple in Canada in almost 10 years.. very rare..

thanks alot guys, one more, would you guys paint it that color, or 00 civic si blue, or hunter green, or a mid-bright orange, or bronze, see i get a good discount on paint(free), i work at a dupont distributor, and i need to make a decision, i have a 94 si hatchback, help me !!!!!

 

It's funny how certain "rare" colors are less "rare" in different parts of the country. For instance, I see aztec green eh's every stinking day. I can count a good 4 or 5 captiva blue eh's, but I've only seen 2 harvard blue hatches here. I looked everywhere for a harvard blue hatch, to no avail.

BTW, I know it's not my car, but please don't paint your car any of those bright/metallic blues. They are so grossly played out, it makes me sick. A nice burgundy or deep green, or even dark blue would be nice. Plus all of those colors look good with any color wheel.

the rarest color they made is a yellow

 

i didnt know yellow ones ever came to the US

 

If I'm not mistaken, Harvard Blue Pearl is probably the most rare.

 

Not around here, I saw 2 for sale at dealerships on the way home from work yesterday. And I see them all the time driving around. I personally hate the color and wish I would've found another Phantom Gray Pearl one instead.

 

Well it was a DX only color.

CX's had Phantom Grey (pimp *** color)
Si's had Black (granada i think)
and DX's had Harvard Blue (most pimp!)

There are also 2 or 3 different teal colors, each one of them different of course. But by far the one I see the least of is either Phantom Gray or harvard Blue.

i rarely see phantom grey....hey, it'd be cool to paint a hatch that one purple color that came on the coupes, eh?

 

what about a tahitian green pearl hatch? tahitian green pearl looks a lot like aztec green pearl, but the two have different color codes. supposidly, tahitian green pearl for hatches was only offered for 92 dx and 92 vx models. please correct me if i'm wrong.

 

yeah aztec green is kinda rare.

but tahitian green sure as hell isnt.
I just call them dark teal and regular teal(respectively).

theres probably 1 dark teal hatch out there for every 10 or 15 regular teals.

dark teal definetley looks good!
I'm thinking about respraying my regular teal hatch that color... maybe with some more green to it and less blue?

captiva blue is nice too, even that purple tint is nice, but you have to have your car done up right.

I'm pretty sure you have Harvard Blue if it didn't look purple like the one above.

You are referring to Electron Blue Pearl, and it's been done. Many time.
