100 bucks the cop told him every exhaust that you can hear from 100 feet away is illegal so thats basically every sports car. He had to have been bullshittin.

 

not really some states have set db levels... if its a certain db at a set # of feet away... luckly the state of NJ has no set db level... so when i get loud muffler tickets i fight em and aalways win

 

Apex-itr got a ticket for this in Georgia it is left up to the cop to use his own judgement.

 

good thing in vt there isnt a db or distance law. id say, get the cop or court to do a db check.

 

hahaha, I live in Mississippi and the cops around here dont give a **** what you do to your car, it can be as low as you want it, as loud as you want it, whatever. You could put a 93 engine in a 2003 car if I want to. This is the only thing good about living in this 3rd world country I call home! There are plenty of people around here with practically no exhaust. Lots of full size trucks with straight pipes and those ******* are loud as hell.

Really? In just over 2 years, I've never been pulled over because of my APEXi N1 catback without silencer. My car is bright red too.
