Default Pics from my car at the track [56k welcome]

Too expensive for me to buy the pics, so deal with the thumbnails I'm better off dumping the money saved in to the car anyway.

Only car that rolled me was that white 'stang, he had some serious rubber and suspension. I rolled some ITRs, tegs, stangs, miatas... RJ was my instructor, bumped me to Level 2.

Sweet! How expensive was the trip? Track time, tires, brakes, etc..

Expensive? I'm a race official so it's free for me Normally costs $300 for the weekend. Changed my t-belt and waterpump for it (was almost due), changed oil, got pads and fluid. Consumables (gas, oil, pad wear, tire wear) cost around $100 I'd say.

Tires: Kumho 711s, very poor in the grip department both wet and dry (wet is very bad)but also very cheap. If you're on a budget and don't see too much rain then I'd recommend them.

Brakes: Stock CX crap with Axxis Ultimates in the front and Superblue fluid. Worked very well the first day, the 2nd day I began getting much faster and they faded. They also glazed which took about a week or two of street driving to remove. I'll be upgrading for my next event but keeping the Ultimates for street use, stock pads blow.

Times: Not taken, it was an educational event. I'd guess around 1:40.

Any more questions? I've got a lot of time on my hands here at work

I've always wanted to go to a local track day, but it cost $175. Then you have to assume that you'll need new tires/brake pads/rotors when finished. Seems like a lot to spend, but at the same time a lot of fun. Sounds like it wasn't really that bad then as far as wear and tear.

Not at all, the largest cost (aside from entry) is changing your oil and staying gassed up. I'd highly doubt I took $20 out of my tires or brakes.

lol didn't notice that, the one picture has me in front of 3 of them - the way it should be. the white one was far faster than me (his suspension costs more than my car), but the other 2 were slooooow (green one was a cobra, obviously due to driver).
