Default 13x9 on eg fitment question

Does anone run a 13x9 with 5 inch backspacing on an eg civic without rubbing issues? My car has a fairly soft suspension but I am now able to run a 13x7 with 235 45 13. I wonder if the 9 inch wide wheels with 5 inch backspace would rub on the suspension itself or the fender/quarter panel.

I know, but I found a nice deal on some 13x9's and really wonder if they fit. The backspacing is the same as my 13x7's at 5 inches. So the only rubbing issue would be on the outside. From looking at pictures of my car at auto x events it doesn't look like the car would roll enough for it to rub. What do you think?

I run 235/45r13 kumbos on my EF and even though my springs are stiff than your i dont think you will rub you car would have be almost sitting on the tire static to rub on a autocross course.

there are 13x8 as for the backspacing i bought them from some guys who had a CSP car. They are "custom built" 88 crx steelies that were widen. So what i am trying to say is that i dont know the backspacing(new to SM not to autocross) if you tell me how to measure it i can tell you.

If your car rolls a lot, then yes--you will rub like a **** on 13x9's with 5" backspacing.

That is the correct wheel for your car if I remember correctly, but you'll need to stiffen the springs/shocks up if you want to stay off of the tire.

Just how soft is your suspension?

springs are nuespeed sports, 250f/180r I believe, with koni's, stock front sway and 22mm rear.

Nevermind, they were just sold. Probably would have rubbed anyway. Thanks for the responses.
