Any damage done?
When I installed my cams (in my B20Z) I only had a Haynes Integra book and I tightened the caps to 9 ft-lbs.
I received my CRV Helms yesterday and the cap troque specs are 7.2 ft-lbs!
Could any damage have been done from having the caps over-toghtened by 1.8 ft-lbs?

i hardly doubt an extra 1.8ft/lbs is gonna do any damage......if you want to sleep better at night just go ahead and loosen them all and tighten them to 7.2ft/lbs
It is only a 1.8 ft-lb differance...but you have to think of it percentage wise.
If it was 130 ft lbs vs 132 ft lbs it probably wouldny matter...
But 7.2 vs 9 is an increase of 20%(or so). If it overtightened...the cams might not get enough oil and could seize!

are you talking about the valve cover? cuz it doesn't really matter as long as oil doesn't come leaking out.... just don't over tighten them cuz they break easily
i believe he is talking about the bolts that hold the cam holders or whatever down. Funny you should mention that my friend (riceboy mechanic) swapped some cams and tightened everything on the head without a torque wrench LOL!! if that makes you feel any better. He calls me up and tells me about what he had done "I have to go get some bolts because when I was tightening these things (bolt caps) down some of them broke off" I dont think you wanna know the rest LOL!
