Default All motor D16y8

just wonderin what you pple think of a all motor d16y8? i just got a new d16 for my ek.. and now i want to start modding it.. i was originally gonna do sohc turbo, but now i'm just thinking a all motor set up would be fun.. i was thinkin about getting the crower stage 2 cam along w/ full valve train.. then bumping the compression to somewhere around 11.1. i already have a lightened flywheel, and unorthodox racing pulley.

Go for it. You can make respectable power on an all-motor d-series. You can also use a fair number of oem parts in the process.

. all motor, especially on a y8, isn't gonna get you anywhere too fast.

If you are serious about all-motor and assuming that this is a daily driver, then Low-Mid 14s is realistic, but it will take some work to get there.

Nothing wrong with turbo. You can probably hit high 13s on a stock motor.

PM3 (D15B) Flattop Pistons will get you 11:1, as long as you use the Y8 stuff.

Don't forget about a new final drive....stock EX/SI final is 4.25.....imagine what a 4.9 would do
