This past weekend in Sacramento, MHR reprsented hard with a 11.74@114mph...and the fastest mph achieved during the event was 115mph. With the lack of a street performance class at the Sac. event, the street hatch was forced to run with the big boys in the pro all motor class. after the first round of qualifying, MHR was in the number five spot. the car did well and finished up in the quarter finals. for being a total street car in the field of big boys, the car did good. the winner of the pro all motor class won with a 11.49. overall it was a good weekend and event. hats off to MHR and everyone else who competed in sac. or baker. the event was CMI in Sac. the plan was to race at both Sac. and Baker., but leaving Sac. at 3am and racing at Baker. the same morning at 9am didn't fall through due to the fact that there weren't enough sober drivers to endure the pilgramage. But we regret not going to the Baker. event afterall since CMI didn't have a Street Performance class. But all in all, the hatch was on-point and was able to hold its own in the pro all motor class. 11.74@114...can't be mad at that.

 

what exactly is CMI? is that a sanctioning body? what pro's race their? 11.49 i pretty slow for a pro car.. musta been a bunch of nobodies racing there?

 

I just want to thank the people from norcal for welcoming us to there home turf.. The local racers such as Vital racing, 1320 performance, danny and bel tran, Justin verches from Sinister (norcal), Barber shop, and spectators were all very respectfull and great people to race with, and to get the recocgnition we recieved was MUCH APPRECIATED!!! .. Even though the street class was post poned till oct.... It was still worthwhile just to beat my old record!! I personally give Sacramento a 2 ... I also would like to thank my good freinds from Insipore motorsport, Eddie choung, charlie and the rest of the crew!! see you in october for the finals..

CMI stands for California modified imports... Tony has been putting on sport compact drag racing events since the mid 90s... Most pros from the west coast all attend CMI races a few times a year I have seen the likes of eriks (first 10.0 pass), barber shop, venom, ray lochead, adam sarwutari, STR,Trackmasters, CBI, DSR,Inovative turbo,Easy street WRX, team Rev Hard, and many others.. #1 qualifier in the turbo class was 9 something i beleive, and the all motor class was a 10.9 or 11.00 if im not mistaken.. some correct me if im wrong on the times..

Yes full race cars, back half chassis, and some even weighing in at 1560 lbs.. my street car with full glass, full metal body, Chromoly roll bar, no cutting and dashboard is still 2180 lbs..

Wow ... misimformed information makes northern Cali seem so slow... im sorry got to defend my myself of this one.. i know we're big budget race team and we dont have all the fastest cars..but the 11.42 pass that i won with was at 101MPH after realizing my oponent had red lite...lefting off after 3rd gear...

the top 4 qualifier where all from Nor Cal

Stew moyles 11.0 Barber Shop
Danny Tran 11.1 DTRFAB
Andrew Wong 11.1 Midnight performance
Chad Barber 11.3 Barber shop

All these cars have either ran 10s or are capable of running it with decent track conditions, and anyone whos ever ran at Sac knows that it aint no 5 star race track

I cant help but to notice your cynical sense of humor any time Max's car is the topic. Yes its a street car. Yes its full body. Yes it has full glass. Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes! Thanks guys... I really appreciate the kind words.. Im just glad the car is running as strong and consistent as it is.. Hopefully by the next CMI.. (north vs south) I can shave off another tenth or 2 .... BTW the norcal racers are very competitive too and they deserve the respect... they have some pretty quick cars...

you mis understood. you said the car was hangin in with the PRO's. well i was just asking who the PROs were that raced.. b/c it seems like most people were either at NHRA or battle.. please explain. i really dont care how the car is setup.. everyone else who has seen the car including PACMAN, claims the car was stripped and not even registered.. it just seems to me like yall are being shady.

there is always an excuse why you cant run the car in the street class.. last time it was b.c they made a mistake in the staging lanes? this time its that they postponed the street class? which may be the case.. i dont know, i wasnt there.. but then yall got drunk and couldnt even make it to the battle.. which max said he would be running for weeks...

just curious why all the inconsistencies.
