Default advice on h22a of f20b

what is everyones thoughts on the f20b accord sir motor versus the h22a prelude motor? from what i know, the f20b has 200 hp at 7200 rpms, 11:0 compression, 16 valve, 1997cc. the h22a has 200 hp at 6800 rpm, 16 valves, 2157 cc, and 10.6: compression. i know the numbers on the f20b look better overall, but then again, the h22a is more upgradeable as far as i know.

the only downside i see to the f20b is the price tag. ive never seen one cheaper than a h22a. but ive only heard of a handful of those swaped.

it's a destroked h22a is all it is....designed to be able to compete in the btcc and they needed to meet the 2.0 liter and under rule.........it's a b series like motor...needs to rev to make power....put one of those in your accord, and you'd be running slower for more money.....here is a link with some more info......it's different, but not practical....it makes the same power, less torque and has a peakier powerband......not bad, but not as good for most applications...check this out

anywhere really.......type s is a waste unless you have the extra $2000 for 20 hp or if you wanna drop it in and not mod it...with an h22a and $1000 you can make more than the type s does.....it's a nice engine, but a bit pricey to me.....go obd 1 h22a w/lsd tranny and you'll be happy....an intake, stock header, 2.5" exhaust and some cams and tuning and you'll be pretty quick...

Try http://www.hmotorsonline.com or http://www.osakajdmmotors.com
I've gotten motors from both and are very clean and run great!

One of my buddies got a cleanass Integra type R motor from there and it runs like a bat out of hell. What kind of experience have you had with osaka?

we bought ONE Motor through them
the parts damaged included a broken power steering pump, borken power steering pump pulley,
a hole in the oil pan
broken tps and knock sensors
no mounts or axles
incomplete header
and it was a dirty engine

Then they never said they would replace anything, I think my partner may have had his attorney write them a letter to get them to replace the broken parts.

A buddy of mine recently got one from there and he got a good one since he picked it up. He also pulled the head off while he was there to make sure it was internally in good condition.

Before that another friend got an h22a that would appear to be a fire recovery judging from the type of damage it had, and the markings on it.

Then the replacement they sent him for $350 more has low enough compression on stock pistons that his f22 felt as strong as it...

oh yeah and you can search on here for the in general bad feelings towards them as well for selling poor quality engines and no customer services.
