I have been having problems with my hondata lately and I've narrowed it down to of all things the hood. The light on the hondata box stays on as long as the hood is open as soon as the hood touches the latch the light turns off WTF. I took of the hood latch went for a drive and the light didn't turn off once everything was fine. I tried moving the ground strap that is on the rad support but that did nothing. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

are there any crimped wires anywhere?? do you have any wires run anywhere near the hood cable?

 

What do you mean by crimped wires? I can take my hood latch off close my hood and the light will stay on but as soon as I ground the hood to the rad support the light turns off. I can actually see the spark when I touch the hood to the latch. I tried Installing another ground strap from the hinge of the hood to the fire wall but that didn't work. I AM STUMPED.
