whos all going to woodburn lets get a big turn out. I know some guys are working every night to get there race cars ready. Ground Zero will be there with as many cars as possible

it is the NHRA Sport Compact Series Event... And Yes they do...

The L'Natural Coupe will be there! looking forward to the Pac NW!!!

 

oops.. i didnt realize it was an NHRA event.. i was wondering about there local events... i know they have something like a CMI just wondering if it included a heads up class.

 

they have a heads up class for the average cars then of course they have the nhra classes were really hoping for alot of people to come out

 

I'll be there for sure, I got the axle fixed.. found a tranny problem while I was in there.
I had turned my line pressure down and turned the shift pressure adjustment all the way down when I had wanted to turn them up. Must have been my late night rebuild of my auto tranny. I datalogged alot of slip on the shifts, like .6 sec in just the 1-2 shift when they are normally less than .1 sec for 1-2 and about .15-.2 for the 2-3.

I wondered why it doesnt chirp the shifts anymore? Now I know!

i was wondering when this thread was goin to pop up. ill b there with my hatch attempting to qualify for all motor class. i dont think low 12s is goin to cut it. bracket racing for me
we sure need more cars there this yr. last yrs turnout was truly PATHETIC at best. but ill give credit where credit is due and most ppl that turned out there were there to race and not play F@F.

 

thats what iam saying last year was not as big as i hoped thats why i am trying to get some people pumped up for this one. i went to the dalles this weekend and saw more people there racing than a import race event at woodburn we need to make this big so the out of towners remember us

 

ive been through the dalles and if u saw more cars racing in the dalles than showed up at woodburn last yr thats even more pathetic. by the way which GZ member is this. paul??

 

no this is brian yeah they had a drag racing event there and there was 150 cars racing with over 350 spectators it was way bigger than expected only thing is it was all v8 only about 10 imports talk about feeling out of place

 

sounds like a typical event at our track. except, im the only fast import and the others than show are well.......................slow. last weekend i think 5 hondas/acuras showed up total. 1 (me in superpro 7.99 and faster) 1 in pro 2 8.99 and slower, the rest in street 4 10.00 and slower. how pathetic is that? majority are V8s though.
so the breakdown in 1/4 mile figures is 1 12 second car, 2 high high 14-low 15 second cars and the rest 16+ second cars.

 

Woodburn is a alsome track lots of pros have set new records on this track. Kenny Tran first broke into the 8,s hear. Ill be there for sure. We need to get the turbo street cars over to woodburn.

 

Gardella Racing will be out. Time to try that nos stuff.

they only take the quick 8 qualifiers for all motor. the rest get bumped to brackets.

yeah my car is still running, ill b there, u have to say hi since ive never seen ur cars. we got a hotel but i was half tempted to take my gfs parents motorhome and tow the car with that. but as i said, ill b there, car in tow. its goin to b fun. im half tempted to make a JDM final drive swap b4 woodburn but i dont wanna rush it so ill prolly just stick to my bone stock tranny.

The race car is being put on a hold(budget). So we are just working on all of our street turbo cars and all motor cars. im putting together kennys motor right now and hopefully we will be done for the last race in pomona.

 

iam heading to pomona too, whats kenny doing? how are the all motor cars lookin for you guys?? i know about chans but who else?
