Default Weird electrical problem

I have been having problems with my hondata lately and I've narrowed it down to of all things the hood. The light on the hondata box stays on as long as the hood is open as soon as the hood touches the latch the light turns off WTF. I took of the hood latch went for a drive and the light didn't turn off once everything was fine. I tried moving the ground strap that is on the rad support but that did nothing. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

dude, that is weird, the latch is manual no power to it and the hood isn't grounded on anything. make sure ther is no small ground wire to the hood hinges like european cars. oh.. I forgot to ask on eg's theres no hood open sensor is there? like a door open / ajar sensor that has an icon on the dash

No there is no sensor at all like you said there is absolutely no power in the hood. It must be making a connection to something though.

damn dude, I have no clue on what else to look for. well all I can say is process of elimination. check everything electrical that could be moving around when your hood is either opened or closed. Check even the hoses that are for your washer squirters cuz they run along the edge of the hood then drop down to the lt inner fender. make sure they aren't catching on anything. And if all else fails suck it up I guess and call a local Hondata tuner. sorry if all this doesn't help

I tried laying a peice of rubber over various electrical components then closeing the hood to see if it was arcing anywhere and that didn'r work. I am stumped, almost sounds like a good reason to get a carbon fiber hood lol.
