Add another satisfied RoadRaceGear.com customer to the list of many. This weekend was the third time (not including initial shipping damage) I've done significant damage to the same airdam/splitter, and it just won't die. It just takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'.
I was pushing it a bit too hard on cold tires Saturday trying to get a run on the green flag when I locked up the front at the hairpin and went straight off into the ruts. Lucky me, there's photo evidence.

The splitter folded under and scraped the pavement for the next 4 timed laps. We just took it all apart, flattened it with a hammer, duct taped the leading edge and put it back on the car. Good as new.

Awesome weekend out at Bremerton Motorsports Park. Nash made his Solo-I debut and smoked the class by 2 seconds in his hybrid. Roldan and myself had best ever lap times, and I was able to mathematically clinch the SOLO-I ITC season Championship by taking two, 3rd place finishes this weekend. Big thanks to Brad and Steve for all their help.

Oh John... and I thought you were just swinging on over to say hi. All that was missing was a honk of the horn!
The really kinda ironic part of it all is that the woman you can see in the background of the third and fourth pics of the 'off-road' sequence is John's wife Cathy. Imagine, going off-road directly towards your wife......
John, thanks for the props man. The solo-I rules for the region make my car an overdog, I'm just glad I was able to come out and have a blast with you. Now we just need to get Kyle (itc), Paul (itc), Zach (ite), Demian (itc), Trever (itc) and Brad (even though he drives a VW
) out there with us. The region wouldn't know what hit 'em.
Pics to come later... when I figure out where I want to upload them to.
Nash - who is exhausted after a fun filled 3 days of average speeds that would get you a ticket on most freeways.

No kidding. A couple weekends ago I had to drive off to avoid a spinning American Iron car who was "Everywhere but over there in the grass." The whole time I'm thinking, chit, I just lunched the splitter. It was scraping everything and I came in. Took one look and thought it was fubar.
To my delight and surprise, I was able to flatten it out with a pair of hands and some needle nose pliers, without taking off the front bumper. Almost good as new!
to roadracegear.com for having a great idea and implementing it in such a way that it can actually be fixed, at the track, in five minutes with simple hand tools.

I can't count how many times I have Taco'd my splitters... Thankfully they are very easy to repair.. At VIR, I think John got a little upset about the amount of racer tape I used to hold mine together..

I thought he was aiming for me
Great weekend, Thanks to all the Bling Bling crew for the great hospitality! I had lots of fun
Next year guys, we'll have a great battle. I'll for sure buy a set of race tires sometime and uh, learn to control my car, not hit things and keep all the pieces on my car.
