I'm looking for a track weekend/HPDE type thing for myself and like 4 other people, preferrably at Summit Point or VIR, through whatever club is available. Car Guys is too expensive ($500!!!), Alfa Romeo, PCA (although they seem to be too "exclusive" for any non-Porschephiles), ANYTHING with a reasonable price. Anyone know of anything?
Mazda Drivers has one coming up in sept at VIR-F, but its full. Gotta get on these things way ahead of time.

there are also CarGuys specials through P1. (do a search) Very good prices especially considering the track time.

Ok, I'll have to look into those specials. I thought I might be trying for it a bit late, but what the hell. Thanks for the help fellas.
Check out http://www.emraracing.org
They'll be at Watkins Glen in October among other events, great value for the money.

Adam, FATT's are pretty cheap. They're booked up until Nov, though. I've yet to do a Car Guys event, but from what I hear they are a class act. With any of these events, the key is to plan ahead. G'luck..

I wouldn't mind doing another FATT Bryan, the only problem is that I have class all day on Fridays starting in like two weeks, so that's pretty much out. Next summer though, you can bet I'll be out there every Friday I can, maybe even breaking in the track 240SX with my brother. I do want to go to Watkins Glen sometimes, but that might be a long ride, I'll have to see.

Does THIS PCA region allow non-Porsches to participate? All the others I could find stated specifically "No non-Porsches."
Edit: Read near the bottom under Regulations: "Only Porsches or primary marques of any guest organization shall be driven on the track." Can a Honda be a primary marque? Heh heh...I don't think so...

If Honda-Tech is your organization then yes, Honda would be your primary marque

Well how much does a PCA membership cost? Also if you run frequent HPDE's with another group, that may qualify as one of their "approved guest organizations."

Yay! Hooray for NASA coming to the rescue! Laura, I know I've asked this, and I've gotten different answers from different people, how likely is it that Shenandoah will be completed by that date?
Track admin has told us they believe it will be ready because of the fast new paving process. They have also said they will know for certain in two weeks.
When you see registration posted at nasaracing.net, that means we are good to go!

Concrete for sure... but I hope that they are not concreting the whole track.

The Potomac Region of PCA has so many Porsches on the waiting list for EVERY event as soon as registration opens that they will not allow any non-Porsches to take a spot. Other less populous regions often allow other cars to fill the spots.

What he said.... the Riesentoter Region is also a good bet when they venture down this way.

I'll keep that in mind for next year. As it is, these two (or at least the November SP Main) will do me for the year, what with me having no money and all. VIR will just have to wait...
