The problem they have in Japan is bad drivers smashing up and then having the cars written off. I've heard of people who are paying off 3 car loans at the stimultaneously. They will trash one before it's paid off, insurance doesn't cover it and they'll just get another loan for a new car.

here in Australia i can tell yu one thing, the integra is definately not the countries most stolen car like there is the USA, that honour goes to the domestic holden commodores and ford falcon POS, mostly due to youngins going after them hehe.

But when the wrx was in its peak '98 '99 '00 man eveyone and his dog wanted one, so stories about how hot property they are on tv was regular
Overall i park my ITR basically anywhere noing that it will be there untouched 99.9% of the time.

later

Over here in Japan you don't have to worry about any of that dumb **** like you do in the states ... I can leave my car running at the store in the parking lot and come back 20~30 min later and it wont be touched ..!!!!! ITR's over here get over looked ....But GTR's and most Nissan Stuff seems to be the Hot Item for other countrys theif's to strip and export..

Yeah...I've left my keys stuck in the door only to find it two weeks later after frantic searching ...people just don' steal car in Japan...ITR's are also not rare limited edition pieces like in the states...common as any other Integra

Um..no ...Japan is in a serious recession for one thing, so your average Joe can't afford 3 cars or even 2 for that matter....

Second, even if you could afford three cars, the annual taxes, and monthly parking fee alone is enough to get another car.

Finally, you would literally have better chances of robbing a bank with a kitchen knife and getting away with it, than getting a loan for three cars in Japan.. Your comments are seriously flawed and so untrue!!

No problems here in Europe. Only a few hardcore Honda freaks know what an ITR is.....

if u watch Best Mootoring VCD enough then u will realize in japan ppl dont care about skyline ITR or even nsx. japanese ppl love american cars such as corvette porsche those kinda cars. coz for them those are what they call import cars. a lot more rare then their own japanese car.

My guess is hybrids are't a big thing in other parts of the world since they do have a Civic Type R (and of course Skylines etc). No need for punks to steal DOHC VTEC cars, strip them and sell them to selfish bastard Civic CX owners.
