Man has it been a busy week...a week ago, my parents decide that my younger brother should have a car for college and they want to give him my GSR. Now, I love my GSR but I figured that I'll just use this opportunity to upgrade to an ITR. So off to HT and Autotrader to find me a nice used ITR.
There was a PY ITR listed in the VFS forum that I seriously would have bought but unfortunately it was sold before I could act on it. Then Autotrader brought me a few more leads but all that were close to me were "already sold" or had a salvage title. I finally came up upon a 2001 NHB ITR w/ only 20K on the odometer. Checked the title and it was clean so I decide right then and there that this was the car I wanted to buy. Contacted the seller over the and turns out the car is in Texas and I'm in GA...No worries, I asked that the cost of my plane ticket be knocked off the price and we have a deal. By Friday everthing is in order, plane ticket, insurance, and certified check for the car. The plan is to fly out to Dallas/Ft. Worth, meet the sellers and drive back to GA.
Saturday morning around 5:45am I leave my house for the airport...10:45 I am in Dallas and by noon I'm on my way back home to GA. I managed 850miles in 12 hours with several stops. I did managed to earn my first speeding ticket ever for doing 80 in a 55mph zone...damn construction zone . Got back home around midnight and go straight to bed.
Now Sunday is a new day and I get up around 8 am to strip my GSR of some parts that I want to transfer to new ITR. I exchanged the wiper on the ITR for the wiper delete on the GSR
Brother Integras...awwww
Lookin' GooD!
Next I stripped the HIDs from the GSR and installed them on the ITR...almost. Need to get an 8mm wrench tommorow.
Next it's time to intall the bad boy Hytech exhaust system. Now this was originally going to be for my GSR but I still hadn't installed it because I was waiting on a part from John. All the better anyways. So I've removed the Stock ITR exhaust and called it a day. Hytech will be going on tommorow! I think after this is done, I will put the ITR exhaust on the GSR and do another comparison.
Stock vs Hytech
Mufflers
Seems that John had a problem getting the Renault cats...mine has a Carsound
Headers...yes that's plural
One more!
A work in progress...

All in all, I am very satisfied with the new ITR. Compared to the GSR, it feels much more solid on the road, thanks mostly in part to the LSD, not to mention the added pep of the engine. The car does have a good number of dings which I really didn't notice at the time of purchase because it was raining and it's hard to see dings with no sun and the car being wet. The hood has been seriously owned by some kamikaze acorns but I'm not to upset about it because I didn't buy an ITR to makea sho' kaa out of it.
Future plans are to beef up my security, get VAFC and get the sucka' tuned and it's on!

Just curious...why did you take the Type R decals off?

Just the rear sticker is missing. I thing the R got into a fender bender and the panel got replaced but the sticker did not...and I'm not about to waste 40$ on a sticker.

Thought about it...but I waited on the Hytech for 2 months and it's been sitting around the house for another month so it's about time for it to go on something.
