Wheel offset for Type-R... choosing new rims

I know the stock offset for a USDM ITR is 50mm, but now comes my question. I searched the ITR forum and found that a new Rota Slipstream has come out in 15x7, while regular Slips are 15x6.5. My question is if I get the 15x7 Slips, the offset available now is only 40mm, seems like a very drastic change. I 've read in the archived posts that anything in between 40 to 45mm is recommended and should not rub during A/X events, and I would like to run 215's. Does anyone have any experience with the Rota's, either the 15x6.5 or 7's, in A/X?
Or should I just get the 15x6.5 and run 205's instead of 215's?
Any suggestions, flames, comments or otherwise are welcome.....

its hard to find 215s in anything other than azenis for a good price. i have heard of some rubbing with a +40 offset with the azenis becaues they are such a wide tire but their car was lowered. it kinda depends on suspension, type of tire, yada yada...good luck tho...
FYI, i'm running 205 on a 16x7 and dont expect any probs on stock suspension.

Ok then, seems like I will only be running 205's...but now back to the main question I asked in my first post....

Any new rims to suggest? fairly cheap rims and well built would be the criteria...
I have a friend running the 205/50R15's on 15x6.5 slipstreams on his ITR and he loves it. There's only one offset available for that size/bolt pattern combo which is +38 or +40 I believe. He daily drives the azenis, and has no complaints besides the noise factor.
For the price, I don't think you can beat the combo.... But one small note, we weighed his 17" O.Z. superleggara's w/ 205/40R17 Toyo T1-s, vs. the new 15" slips and azenis sports... the 17" O.Z. were lighter by about a lb and a half ea. wheel. Makes ya think...

Not surprising since the Azenis are probably the heaviest tire out there and the T1-S are among the lightest tires. I bet the Azenis gripped a hellava lot more though.
