alright....i was driving on the highway the other day and i was going pretty fast in 5th gear (about 115-120 or so) when my car just stopped and kinda bogged...i lost power...i talked to a couple of friends and the said first gen b16's cut off at like 120 so i was like"ok" but then later i noticed when i give my car full throttle....my rpm needles start to jump like crazy and my car like sputters and falls on its face...im scared...ive talke to some people and they say its the distributor and/or ignitor...could this be true??...i ordered an obd 0 o nline and it hasnt come yet...i checked my timing, spark plugs, and everything seems fine....if someone could help me i would be thankful...it sounds like my distributor but i dont know...

 

i had the same problem last week...bad distrubuter..change it...

 

i had the same problem the other day........ i cleaned up my connections to the ignitor and tightened them down with some needle nose pliers........... no more hesitation or irratic tach for me.........

 

Check your timing, same symptoms after I jumped a tooth. And just to let you know theres going to be a long list of things to check, start with the free ones, timing, pull the cap, check the plugs, etc.
