Anyone running a staggered tire size 205/50/15 in front and 195/55/15 in rear? My wheels are 15X6.5 with a 38 mm offset. How does your car handle with the wider tire size in front?

 

Noone is running a staggered tire size? Everyone is using 4 195/55's or 4 205/50's?

 

why would you want to stagger the size?? then you couldn't rotate them..

ive got 195's all the way around

 

I had that setup for about a week a while back. I didnt notice any difference, but I was only daily driving around town, nothing aggresive.

 

Its more for a track setup. A wider tire in front would counter the front bias of the heavy front end. 195 in the rear would prevent rubbing and also for sliding the back around.

 

Spoon ran that setup on there eks

for street its no good

for track it makes sense

but this is all on a car that has to shave off 10th's of seconds so they do what they can


but hey if you want to do it GO for it....

i ran nitto nt555r the 140 treadwear tires on all four, for 6 months on my daily driving race car......they were great.....but sounded like 4X4 tires on the freeway after awhile

 

those japanese kamakazie racers use wide tires front and narrow rear, like 225 front
and 195 in the rear. for street no use, track maybe.
